It's kinda like when the Sears Tower was stripped of it's 'Tallest Building in the World" status, nothing changed about the planet (or building) just the way they judge them.
For the record, since the only thing taller about the Patronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur is the spires, which are decorative, not functional, I maintain the Sears is still the tallest since it's antennae are taller AND functional.
Hell, I may have to do a post of my own about this.
